Things have gotten closer to the sun

Who's the asshole voting as boring my previous post?? I mean my whole Blog is boring, but the post about Steve Harley it's NOT. Reconsider and RESPECT! ^_^ xoxoxo

I have been watching some of uptheriver’s shorts, the one below caught my eye. It is very simple and I loved it. The main character is truly handsome and confused for sure.

I have been listening to some outstanding pop noise lately. ''Face Control'' By Handsome Furs It's phenomenal!!! Friends have told me to do myself a favor and go check these two out live! I'll do.

''Duel'' was on TV the other day! If you have not seen this film, please, take some time, namely 90 mins. I think what I love the most about this film is just how stuck in the 1970’s it is. The plot it's really simple: David Mann is just a regular family man on a business trip. Unintentionally he attracts some interest from a trucker, who takes it upon himself to try and kill the middle aged mister. You are watching it, in agony. You want desperately to call that sir to pull over, use his iphone and call the police. Sir is miles from a phone. Sir is driving down a mountain with a truck bearing down on his bumper. Sir is in trouble.

One of the few films of Spielberg i really enjoyed.

Hannah Taylor must have the strangest dreams. Hannah’s collection, seen below, really is stand-out. She is only 22 and so talented. After being part of the Gala show at Graduate Fashion Week, she was contacted by River Island to say they would like to put her collection on display in one of their shop windows for a week after receiving a special mention in the awards ceremony. Congrats girl!
In 11 days, at the airport, our kiss will last 2:08 minutes. I thought of it so many times while listening the intro song of this miraculous album by The XX.

Love me sublime, mangle my mind

Wednesday, 11 November 2009

''Tell me, can you put limits to love? Here my love. over there your love? Tell me, can you put a limit to death? Here my death, there yours? Can you cut the sun in two? Can you cut light in two? Can you cut love in two?'' .Those were the last words of the performance ''If you Fall..'', that i saw last week. It was a performance in memory of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. It left me speechless. I left the place with my friends Longinos and Eleni. He is a journalist a. She is a musician. Both of them are little wizards and i love them! On our way to the the ''after place'', we were listening to ''Sebastian''

It's true they don't make songs like this anymore. The Human Managerie is now some 30 years old yet always a stunning masterpiece.
Thanx to Steve for 30 years of class!

The poet, the Artist

Radiate simply, the candle is burning
so low for me
Generate me limply, I can't seem to place
your name, cherie
To rearrange all these thoughts in a moment
is suicide
Come to a strange place, we'll talk over old times
we never spied

Somebody called me Sebastian
Somebody called me Sebastian
work out a rhyme, toss me the time, lay me --
you're mine
And we all know, oh yeah!

Your Persian eyes sparkle, your lips -- ruby blue --
never speak a sound
You, oh so gay, with Parisian demands,
you can run around
And your view of society screws up my mind
like you'll never know
Lead me away, come inside,
see my mind in kaleidoscope

Somebody called me Sebastian
Somebody called me Sebastian

Love me sublime, mangle my mind - do it in style so we all know

You`re not gonna run, baby we`ve only just begun, baby
to compromise
Slagged in a bowery saloon love`s a story
we`ll serialise
Pale angel face,green-eye shadow, the glitter
is outaside
No courtesan could begin to decipher
your beam of light

Somebody called me Sebastian
Somebody called me Sebastian

Dance on my heart, laugh swoop and dart,

Now we all know you , yeah !

Hellop!!
I know it's been a long time! Sorry ^_^!
I saw the above picture two or three months ago and at the time thought, I’ll save that one for a future post! Wandering what to buy to your bf/gf this Christmas? The eighth collection from the Brisbane label OKAY takes on the very best of the eighties and bring the fire rocks! Take a look. Fantastiques!
Soon this lovely dress will be mine! It's gonna be the best outfit while listening Bat for Lashes or watching Donnie Darko.

I love to watch this scene, with friends who haven't seen Donnie Darko before. I wait for their reactions when Donnie says ''I can see Him Right Now''. Donnie is my favorite superhero of all times!!!

The chanted, harmonious psychedelic-pop band Yeasayer has a new song (ujuu),which i can't stop listening since yesterday. I love this weirdo-pop.

From Yeasayer i am gonna talk about poetry now. Last week I came across some accidental poetry, which i found the greatest contradiction of forced words. Way Shape Form’s edition, ‘I Can Be Your Dream is a collection of ‘works’ from 21 Russian brides-to-be.
The singles website makes very clear, the true intentions of the ladies:

"Ladies featured on this site are not simply seeking an exit out of Russia. They are seeking friendship and/or romance with foreign men because most Russian men do not treat Russian ladies very well. Also, there is a great shortage of men in Russia."

I’m not sure why I like this so much. Perhaps it's the fact that that the authors have subsequently become someone they are not, poets!! I fucking miss my man, and i become so emotional with all these stuff! I cry too easily these days, even when i hear this tressure from my fav the Drums.

If you fall asleep down by the water,

baby i carry you all the way home

Few days have left

Polar-oid Express

Tuesday, 6 October 2009

There has been such an explosion in the amount of Polaroid’s being shared online, Over the last few years. You might have heard about polanoid net.I believe that is best web-space to find the most inspiring polaroid photo collections from around the globe. Polanoid.net now has Movies, in beta form. I spent some time today enjoying the step back in time that is Super 8. Have some quality vintage time here.

Je suis jalouse. I just found out about Eleanor Hardwick. Eleanor has had her photography published in 'Dazed and Confused' at 16. In my opinion she is the most talented 16 year old girl in the world. Safe to say, she has inspired many teenagers (and adults) to grab a camera and escape to a tea party in the park. Love her!
What a lovely website this is, and the memo parade is just a wee bit of the loveliness. It don't matter if you're French or not, drawings are the new language of music.
Me and Vesolt have a thing in common: we believe ''Unknown Pleasure'' is still a masterpiece.

Just before i go to bed i am gonna have my Horchata or listen my Horchata...Vampire Weekend has a new song: HORCHATA. You can find out what inspired The VW here.

All you people are vampires, And all your stories are stale

It's been a September of finding things, new things and today i found studioviolet through a maze of links, blogs, artists, ebay items and carrier pigeons. Studioviolet was born in 2008 when Camilla Engman and Elisabeth Dunker decided to joined their creative forces! Dig their page, you can find really cool stuff. This stamps were made so you could become the best pen pal. (don't take my words for it).

This porcelain set was made for a show
Take a look at the postcards, then order a packet of six and send one of those, to someone you love.
Talking about postcards...you should take a glance through our new blog. Me and my boyfriend have together a new blog on Tumblr with a very simple concept. Discover it yourself by clicking the following image. We gave it this name: Send a postcard, it's romantic!!! awww!

I consider Twilight one of the worst film ever made, and the book one of the worst pieces of Literature ever written. But with the soundtrack of the sequel of Twilight ''New Moon'', looks like two cultures just got shocked. The following tracklist makes me feel compelled to actually watch the movie, which is embarrasing
Here's a few more reasons you suddenly love vampires:

01 Death Cab For Cutie - "Meet Me On The Equinox"
02 Band Of Skulls - "Friends"
03 Thom Yorke- "Hearing Damage"
04 Lykke Li - "Possibility"
05 The Killers - "A White Demon Love Song"
06 Anya Marina - "Satellite Heart"
07 Muse - "I Belong To You (New Moon Remix)"
08 Bon Iver and St. Vincent - "Rosyln"
09 Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - "Done All Wrong"
10 Hurricane Bells - "Monsters"
11 Sea Wolf - "The Violet Hour"
12 Ok Go - "Shooting The Moon"
13 Grizzly Bear (Feat. Victoria Legrand) - "Slow Life"
14 Editors - "No Sound But The Wind"
15 Alexandre Desplat - "New Moon (The Meadow)"

To talk about real Vampires now, i finally watched ''The Hunger''two days ago, one of the most enticing, luxurious, elegant film I've ever seen. A brilliant cast (Catherine Deneuve, Susan Sarandon ,David Bowie), outfits and stylish sunglasses, rock & rol, good photography, eroticism are some of the things a good vampiric film should includes.

The following scene where Miriam seduces Sarah while playing Lakme on the piano is the BEST seduction scene in film history!

ps: My three older brothers used to say to me that i was an adopted child. For a long time i believed that Susan Sarandon was my real mother, cause the dad of my friend Chara told me that we have the same eyes. Sweet Times.(lol)
ps-1: You should call me more often cause i love my ringtone, even if it takes me a while to realize that is actually ringing ...
