Minestrone

I have been sick for a week. I making this soup today and I am pretty sure it's gonna make me  feel much better. Here is a recipe of the best Minestrone soup I have ever had, by my favorite chef Mark O'Connor 

Ingredients 10 serves 

 2 large brown onions peel and dice, 2 large carrots peel and slice, 1/2 a large celery wash and chop, 2 large potatoes peel and chop, 1 can of cooked red kidney beans, 1 bulb of garlic peel and chop, 1 t spoon of cracked pepper 1/2 t spoon of salt. 1 cup of olive oil 10 ripe tomatoes diced. 1 bunch of parsley wash and chop 1 cup of bacon chopped up (or raw smoked meat)

Method 

you need a big saucepan and a smaller saucepan. put the little saucepan with water on the back of the stove when it boils add the pasta you need plenty of boiling water to cook pasta and a colander in the sink ready to drain the pasta when it is cooked. It will be cooked when. you bite into the pasta and it is slightly chewy. Drain the cooked pasta into the sink and cool down with cold water . Now for the big pot. Heat the oil in the pot until it is very hot add all the ingredients except the pasta and the kidney beans, stir and cook until it is soft. Cover with 2 litres of water addf the salt and pepper bring to the boil. Now add the cooked Pasta and the cooked canned kidney beans. Serve with Grated Parmesan cheese and some toasted crusty bread. You can have a glass of red wine both while you are making it and again when you eat the soup

FaVoRiTe Mighty Boosh Moments

Οι θαυμάσιες περιπέτειες του Vince Noir και του Howard Moon, είναι ενδεχομένως το πιο αστείο και πιο original comedy show στην Αγγλική τηλεόραση. Στην Κύπρο δεν νομίζω να το έχει προβάλει κάποιο κανάλι (ούτε καν τα συνδρομητικά) και όμως θα έπρεπε! Άρχισα να παρακολουθώ πρώτο κύκλο πέρυσι, αφού είδα για πρώτη φορά τον Noel Fielding, στο Never Mind The Buzzcocks! H αλήθεια είναι, οτι προηγουμένως, δεν είχα ιδέα για την δουλειά των Fielding και Barratt (οι δημιουργοί του show). Μετά από το ξεκαρδιστικό επεισόδιο του Buzzcocks, έψαξα στο google το όνομα του Fielding, διάβασα για τη σειρά (Lucky Me), και ξεκίνησα να την παρακολουθώ στην ιστοσελίδα του BBC. Μέχρι το Καλοκαίρι είχα δει και τους 3 κύκλους. Η σειρά σίγουρα δεν αρέσει σε όλο τον κόσμο: Το πιο βασικό είναι οτι πρέπει να είσαι κάπως εξοικιωμένος με το αγγλικό humor και να σου αρέσουν τα random και nonsensical αστεία. Με λίγα και απλά λόγια το Mighty Boosh είναι μια φρέσκια, εθιστική, σουρεαλιστική, υπερφυσική κωμωδία με σκηνικά και κουστούμια από άλλους πλανήτες και ζηλευτά storyline, η οποία μπορεί να σας βοηθήσει να σταματήσετε τα ναρκωτικά, αφού από μόνη της η σειρά κάνει την δουλειά που κάνουν τα ναρκωτικά.

Με το που έφτασα στο μακρινό Birmingham φάνηκα πολύ τυχερή που είχα την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσω το Μighty Boosh Team live σ’ενα Halloween party, στο οποίο εμφανίστηκαν ως guest star. Βασικά έβγαιναν ένας-ένας στην σκηνή, έκαναν διάφορα χαζά και όταν ήταν η σειρά του Barrat και του Fielding, έκαναν μια σύντομη εμφάνιση, η οποία δεν περιελάμβανε καθόλου διαλόγους, παρα μόνο χορευτικά. Ο δε Fielding το είδε περισσότερο σαν ‘είμαι star αποθεώστε με’, όπως και πράξαμε άλλωστε, γιατί ο άνθρωπος είναι! Στα αρνητικά της νύχτας εκείνη σημειώνω το γεγονός οτι ο σεκουριτάς δεν με άφησε να περάσω στο v.i.p Lounge Room, προκειμένου να μου υπογράψει ο Barrat το ΝΜΕ τεύχος, του οποίου στο cover απεικονίζονταν οι Mighty Boosh!
