State hospital

Thursday 20 September 2012

The wildflowers in the Kulu Valley's upper reaches give colour to the mountainsides and lush meadows. In the gardens of Manali the residents tend to roses, hyacinths and agapanthas. Amongst the woods and  stone houses of former British residents we sheltered from a storm.  By candle light we watched it pass and in the morning on the garden path was set upon by cute looking but somewhat vicious fluffy, white dog. A rabies vaccination was required at the local hospital and amidst the chaos of road accident victims villagers and injured tourists a little girl laughed.

I made the video at the hospital while I was waiting to get my rabies vaccination :)
