Wondrous City

Overlooking the city from the sea:the minarets of Sultanahmet, the dome of Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi towers,the city gave the impression that it had never been pillaged, was never destroyed, never been infected. Like a momentary vision shortly before sunset ... like a cloud ... a magical fairytale picture ... Like a brand new beginning ... promising, beautiful ..
