Really good new artists and the greatest comebacks! It's been days i was thinking of writing about the tracks of 2009 i really love and i was thinking of an interesting way to present them. They are so good that they deserve a special treatment. These are the reason why this year rules for music. Fave songs, Fave lyrics!

Sweet Little Things

Sunday, 29 March 2009

It's all well and good looking at beautiful art and listening to good indie music, but every now and again you've got to wake up, recognize it's a Sunday and go internet hunting for something special, something really sweet and surprising!

I have to say the beauty of a child's mind ,never ceases to amaze me.I would advice you to bring some popcorn and enjoy the breathtaking story by French, 4 years old Capucine! Starring baby monkeys that get lost in frightening trees, a witch, crocodiles, a tiger, a "popotamus" and a lion, and even a "tremendously very bad mammoth". There are also magic powers and an orange ring, but sometimes, "something goes amiss". Enjoy!

"they did not even take the train"
"boxes of animals that were poor"
''allergies to magic''
how did you not crack up?

I really watch that video so many times that i started to memorize it!

Behind Capucine is of course a great mum, who has set up a project in order to raise money for Edurelief, a development organization based in Mongolia, who helps providing school books to Mongolian kids, so Capucine's popularity has been put to a good use! I really want to buy one of those Capucine t-shirts.

for him for her

Capucine has also a Flickr Photostream! She is a little star

I discovered Maya a month ago and i was so happy that i shared her videos on facebook. This morning though i got a similar surprise by the name of Maya. In this video little sweetheart Maya eulogizes her dead fish in the toilet. It might sound like the darndest thing, but you should listen the whole eulogy. Maya's way ahead of a lot of us.
In opposition to Capucine's mum, Maya's Mum appears to be a bit retarded. How hard is it to make up a few words about a dead fish dammit???!!!(lol). The best part is when the retarded mom says "We love you" and Maya just goes "LOVED you."

Please be as amazing as the child above. If you are not. You fail. Simple. Oh I jest.

La vie en rose

Saturday, 28 March 2009

Everyone is leaving, look. I realized that when i came across the above illustration by Victor Kerlow. Spring is the best time of the year that you can leave, wherever you go will be lovely! Marseilles in the spring sounds to be the best scenario though: To take a walk in the small colorful alleys, to sit and enjoy the passers-by, to spend an hour studying the footwear of those seated nearby. To take millions of photos cause you want to remember every tiny detail of this magic place. To remember how many times you had closed your eyes and dreamt of being right there. To hold the hand of another who feels the same. To ask for un petit dejeuner pour deux personnes with your own funny accent, and then laugh a lot. To share some headphones and listen together The Shins and Little Joy, driking wine. To wear stripes, to wake early, not to visit any museum, to go to the theatre, to cherish the hour it has given you. To be in Marseilles in the spring.

No more to show today. I' ll keep it dreamy, short and romantic, just with some photos of mine of this place trop Fantastique! Oui! J'aime Marseilles! ♥

I watched ''Garden State'' again today, just to see my favorite scene! trop adorable!! ♥♥♥

Where the Great Things Are

Thursday, 26 March 2009

Goodness me, 2009 is shaping up to be an exciting year for cinema! A month ago My friend Jud pointed me in the direction of the brand new poster for the Where The Wild Things Are movie. The only thing i could say was OMG WTF FTW YES!! As i never read the book, I was totally excited for this movie, and this poster was just the first reason.

You might probably know that Spike Jonze has dropped the official movie trailer just yesterday. Fisrt was the poster and now an amazing outstanding movie trailer. One of the most exciting things about this trailer is the fact that Arcade Fire has lent one my favorite tune ''Wake up'', to make the trailer. Few months ago Neon Bible track 'My Body Is A Cage' was heard on the trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button!

The trailer + Arcade Fire + Magic + Nostalgia makes me miss my adorable nieces and my boyfriend even more! Here is the second part of the video i promised to post long time ago! My nieces rock!

a race my case!! ^_^

Time to pick a Time

Wednesday, 25 March 2009

I'm finding it rather difficult to update at the moment. That would be due to my lack of free time. I am not telling that i don't have free time at all, but this week i prefer spending my free time sleeping instead of doing anything else. Bah Humbag!

The last hour though i'm sitting in front of my laptop waiting my flatmate and my friend George to go for a dinner to a friend's house and some interesting things caught my eye.

Oh to be the letter F. It definitely is the letter of the moment. I found Ffffound.com few months ago, when i was reading the Time's article about the 50 best Websites of 2008! Ffffound! is a website for collecting and sharing images from the web, like old dog Flickr , but for other people's pictures. It's really fun exploring this page, quite addictive though! I keep all the interesting photos, illustrations in a folder on my laptop and i have saved about 5000 pieces so far!

That why i love FFFFOUND! for stuff like this one

The cassette tape Jimmy Hendrix reminded me the photos i took my friends in front of the Jimmy Hendrix poster i have on room's wall! Here is Sen Hithgodapitiyegedara as Jimmy (say his surname if you dare) :)

Cool Sen <3>I have to save this as a draft cause i have to goooo!...

...Here I am again:
Today Mashallah Design and Linda Kostowski based in Berlin came into my spotlight! I was amazed by their digital portraits t-shirt project. Take look at this piece

This amazing t-shirt was made by scanning human bodies and using the data to create sewing patterns. The human form is turned into 3D patterns of polygons, which are then turned into 2D files and used to laser cut fabric! Awesome!

I became far more fascinated with what the pair of Mashallah Design and Linda Kostowski were up to as individuals rather than collectively. Mashallah has some interesting and fresh ideas especially in the realms of wallpapers.

I was surprised though when i discovered Kostowski's blog ''realfakewatches''. The idea is witty, unique and therefore brilliant. Realfakewatches are wristwatches that only work for one minute every day (it'd rather say that they show the correct time only once every, twice for analog ones). The good thing is that you can pick what time your watch will say! I want mine! ^_^
Take a look at this
That's all folks for today! bye ^_^

happy birthday bro mu
happy birthday Lucio mu
love you love love you <3>

Monday Night : Everything's Just Wonderful

Monday, 23 March 2009

About a month ago i received on my Birthday an amazing present from my beloved friend Lucio: a ticket for the concert of Lily Allen!

Was a sweet night tonight! We went to see the singer who has made ska credible again, we went to Lily, to princess Lily Allen! She is adorable, she is pretty, breathtaking, youthful with the great potential in her performance to be dazzling as opposed to fun. Who knew how funny Lily Allen was? She made jokes throughout the night like when she changed her clothes and she apologized for forgetting to wear her bra!!
Waving and winking and saying jokes, breaking into sexy dancing like she was flirting with boys at a club (she's hot) even having 2-3 beers after a long period of abstinence, we felt that she was our funny friend.

Lily kept it short, tight and sweet. She more than proved herself tonight.

I have plenty videos from tonight's gig but i'm so tired to do the editing now, so i'm gonna post it soon! For now here are some photos that i took tonight! She pretty, isn't she?

Since i came home i can't stop listening to this:

I don't want anything more
Than to see your face when you open the door
You'll make me beans on toast and a nice cup of tea
And we'll get a Chinese and watch TV
Tomorrow we'll take the dog for a walk
And in the afternoon then maybe we'll talk
I'll be exhausted so I'll probably sleep
And we'll get a Chinese and watch TV

Goodnight ^_^ zzzzzzzzz
