North America Scan!

Friday, 20 March 2009

I have stumbled upon so much great stuff this evening .I have to say that people imagination's amazes me sometimes. Scanwiches is a site dedicated to scanned Sandwiches. I heard that in New York they have the best delicatessens, but someone coming across the idea to place their sandwich on the scanner, is way cool! Yes you see that even sandwiches have an artsy side. I might be moving to NYC, cause today i had one slice of cheese and ham sandwich from TESCO which is not fair at all!

Prepare to salivate:

While other people are being creative in their offices scanning sandwiches, some others are really funny! Watch this immediately. So good!

Talking about delicious stuff, yesterday i made for my flatmate an amazing, tasty omelette ( don't know if i spell it right, but i pick that way)! I have been making quite a few omelettes last months. Indeed, i may actually have made more omelettes this year, than in all of my previous years! (lol) .Look at me how successfully i am sliding the unfolded part of the omelette onto the plate! What a mission! Big Times!!!

I am realising that my post is full of America today! Have you seen the new episode of 30 Rock? Last night's episode (which i watched while ago), might was the best of the Season! I have been thinking to start writing a list with my favorite quotes of the show. I am daring myself, but then again, i am thinking that i'm gonna get bored man! Too many! Other thing that was brilliant about this episode Dr, Drew. I demand Drew and Tracy Jr of courset o become regular on the show and something else what that BFF thingy?? OMG I'm dying to know what it stands for!

Tracy: You're my Radar O'Riley, Ken. Now get in here and rub my feet until you hear a chopper coming.

Drew: That's it! I quit! This racket is a fart!

Drew: I didn't like it outside The Bubble, Liz. It was very ironic.
Liz: No it wasn't. That's not how you use that word.
Drew: Stop it. I want to use ironic however I want. I want to stay in the bubble.

Really difficult not to add a photo of OBama in this post:

Oh'Bama you sexy Devil! He is the coolest

Someone please wipe the drool from my face!!! (awwww!)I am joking, but the true is that today i started with something HOT! Public enemies trailer looks like a film worth being excited for, it really looks incredible and Michael Mann seems at his best. The film carries such an amazing cast (jizz): Johnny Depp is exceptional, Bale is the macho man and Cotillard est un amour! The movie will be released July 1, 2009! Watchmen is already yesterday news!

Talking about la magnifique Marion here is her, re-enacting a scene from ‘Psycho’ in the Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair! I <3>
Marion Cotillard. Photograph by Mark Seliger.

I prepare a list of things i want to buy, for those who still feel bad about not buying me anything for my birthday. Better late than never folks!!

a)Obama Action Figure: Ok, ok! Obamamania has gone out of control, i know, but i'll be making some wicked stop motion videos with this six-inch lump of wonder. Find it here.
b) Skinny jeans used to be in fashion ages ago! And i'm really sick and tired watching cool wannabes in the streets wearing them. This t-shirt is fairly on the money. Bearing a rather explanatory slogan, it's the perfect antidote to anyone strutting around wearing a tribly and oh-so-tight jeans. I'm a mistress of irony so i'm thinking of wearing the t-shirt with some skinny jeans and watch the heads of passers-by, explode! Buy me the t-shirt here.

c) Emmy the Great+cats+internet humour =LOL, right? Pretty much. Now i can put my twee pop ephemera over my shoulder in style as well as brodcasting the fact that i'm down with the latest web names!! 'Just a Bag'??? Yeah and going to Mars is ''just a long journey''. Found here

d) I am teaching a neighbor spannish 3 times a week and the other day we were watching the Disney Bambi in spannish, for educational reasons. Quite a jolly little film, isn't it? Full of happiness throughout, so why assume the ending will be any different? I found this amazing t-shirt and i want it. Sex pistols wanted Bambi dead? (lol) The easiest way to have it is to visit this page.

I am sharing my secret web pages with you, if you haven't noticed, but sharing my factory of Dreams webpage it's like crossing the limit a bit! Nevermind I'd advise that you take a few minutes to look through all ''Factory 20'' have to offer. Honestly. It must have taken ages to acquire such a vast and illustrious collection. Hats off to them. Here are the items i'd most like to have.

For the late night reading sessions

For the walls some Niko Isaic Cuban film posters

For my bedroom something really vintage and classy to keep my NMEs
I love this Vintage Hermes style luggage bag...

...and this Vintage set of Tennis Racquets

Lot of hot stuff today! Here is a video that a made with my flatmate days ago! (claymotion style). Hope to appreciate it cause it took us long time to do it (especially when we had to separete for each photo our actors-damn plasteline)!!! heh! Yes we tried to give a hot message: Wear the plastic for God Sake! hehe

Stay awake to break the habit bye ^_^

Diarios de Lucio (photo by me)

Diarios de Motocicleta ( Gael Garcias Bernal as joung Ernesto Guevara)

Things are likely to be quite busy this week, but be excited! Monday for me it's a good day though, because i have a day off! I slept for 13 hours straight last night. I couldn't believe how tired i was.

Monday is a good day to remember good movies and good movie soundtrack. For example today i was listening to the soundtrack of the Impeccable film of Walter Salles ''Motorcycle Diaries''. This soundtrack was on our stereo when we were crossing the jungles with Fran in Venezuela. Is the exact kind of music which is amazing to hear when you are traveling, and when you want to relax and not let the outside world bother you (especially when you are in traffic)! Gustavo Santaolalla who's responsible for more movie soundtrack masterpieces like ''21 Grams'', ''amores perros'' ''Brokeback Mountain'',etc, scored in this film as well. The album won the BAFTA award for Best Film Music, and the last track of the album ''Al Otro lado del Rio'' won the Oscar for Best Original Song. (even though it's not my favorite)

here are my two instant classic favorites:

You can listen samples of the rest of the album tracks here.

The opposite of work is of course play, and it's not bad at all to play even if you are 23, 32, or 320. This Monday deserves a playful mood. So i called my friend Lucio -who happens to look alike to Gael Garcia Bernal-to go for a walk. Me and Savvas for a walk means only two things: Fun and Joy.

Day's Highlights:

1)Me: Had blackcurrant muffin with white chocolate
Lucio: Chocolate muffin

2)The beautiful blond girl, with the beautiful slim legs, with the beautiful blue electric jacket who was waiting someone for ages and he/she has never shown up! (poor thing).

5) Lucio has i-phone, which means that we had internet access, which means that i could listen to my new obsession 1901 from the upcoming album of The Phoenix! The song it's so catchy that can easily drive you crazy. J'aime cette chanson beaucoup! J' adore Phoenix!! (duh, for me trying to speak french). I suck, i know! :)

6) When we were called artists by a passing man, the moment i stepped on Lucio!
