We fly balloons on this fuel called Love.

It's really hard to say something bad about Disney-Pixar. They always seem to come up with pretty original ideas: Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E were heartfelt. Yesterday, just a while before i sleep, i stumbled upon the trailer of Pixar's new movie, ''Up''. Oh my god, it is magic. A fantastic trailer and what a great story. I really feel like this movie is not going to let us down! It is this kind of trailers that guarantees an amazing movie. I can safely presume that Pixar has done it again. I love the fantastical imagery and bright colors. The character of the grumpy old Carl Fredricksen has been growing on me more and more, after watching the trailer about 20 times by now. The movie is scheduled for release on May 29, 2009!

The way Carl Fredricksen delivers ''no'' in that scene it's priceless

Up's trailer reminds me a video i found about 3 months: Tiji The Balloon.A Beautiful and simple storytelling, perfectry animated and timed, which anwers my eternal long lost question of what happens to floating unobserved balloons. Lets just ignore those laws of physics. (hehe)

Watching ''Tiji The Balloon'', i remembered the Lamarisse's masterpiece ''Le ballon Rouge'', a rare gem of French cinema. A thirty minute film, with minimal dialogs, about the power of love and friendship. The balloon regenerate itself in an endless flow of passion. The most enchanting and moving short produced film in history. You can watch it here in a very bed quality though.

And talking about passion, here are some balloon photos of my passionate photographer (i <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB0uJa2c0g6yzfwZYvYgC6VkU69s8nMHmF1W-1om2NlzDQxFoxX2LoonGlhKNPNr_7JVqU8yZFl8xtZvhvOdmj4L6BwP6tIIGsVw8dz5FGYmbpPBTNva6kwFrhu_ckO3QqBGXz8AQpAwU/s1600-h/ballons+5.jpg">Photo By Francisco Blanco

@silentcrossing: "Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this your work(and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And dont't bother concealing your thievery-celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always rememberwhat Jean-Luc Godard said: "It's not where you take things from-it's where you take them to."- Jim Jarmusch
